Prof. Andrea Franzetti, head of the research group, MicroDISAT at the Department of Environmental and Earth Sciences, University of Milano Bicocca, and Dr. Alif Chebbi, postdoctoral fellow, explained the progress achieved during the first phase of CREIAMO project, regarding the production of biosurfactants using agricultural residues from olive oil and winery sectors.
Research Group MicroDISAT is part of the partners of CREIAMO project, working on biosurfactant synthesis using winery residues for potential applications to treat hydrocarbon-contaminated soils.
